He got his 1st Buck!

Thursday afternoon Jason and John Egbert left to go deer hunting. Jason was having awful back pains. Scouted around and saw 7 doe.

Friday morning the kids and I headed to St. George to stay with Jamie and her kids. We stopped at a couple of my favorite St. George stores then took the kids swimming in an awesome indoor/outdoor pool that even had a lazy river. The pool closed early because someone pooped in the pool. We went to the park.

The boys found and watched 2 bucks through a scope for 2 hours. Jason shot from 200 yards with no scope and missed, reloaded the mussel loader and was able to get a second shot. Hit the deer in the foot and he ran away.

Followed the blood trail until dark. John had a close call with a rattlesnake. Mapped on the GPS were they left off and headed back to their hotel.

Jamie and I stayed up way to late chatting, making watchbands and hair bows.

Saturday the boys got back up before sunrise and found were they left off on the blood trail. Found the deer alive backed into a corner and Jason shot him from 30 feet. Gutted the deer, and spent the next 2 hours carrying the deer down the mountain. Jason was in a lot of pain.

Me and Jamie played with the kids, took 1 five year old, 4 three year olds, 1 two year old and a 4 month old baby out to dinner to the Pizza Factory by ourselves.

Boys got home. Jason was dying with pain. John did the whole deer-slaughtering thing. Jamie and I bathed all the kids and put them to bed. I took Jason to the E.R.

10 minute wait in the Emergency room. Awesome care. Jason was passing a kidney stone. After a shot of Morphine he was doing much better. Cat scan showed only 1 stone and only about 2 inches to go.

Sunday morning Jason was doing much better and we headed home. He credits John for the deer.

Busy weekend! I can't believe Jason and John (we'll give credit to both) caught a buck. I don't know how they are able to do that.

That water park looks like a lot of fun! We'll have to get the place from you before we head up sometime.

I just made my first of those cool watches. I love them! I have been seeing them all over southern Utah and have been wanting to get my hands on one.

Oh man what a weekend, but I say even with his trip to the ER (which is awful) you two Mom's had the more challenging quest!! :) Two sets of twins, man you women are amazing!!

Oh boy! Kidney stones!!! Jake has them too. It is the scariest thing ever to see him pass one. I hate the drive to the ER when he is in so much pain! Luckly they have that morphine to help our babes feel better. Jake has been taking something and hasn't passed one since. I will let you know what it is.

Congrats to Jon and Jason on their buck, it looks like a nice one. I'm a little sad looking at those pictures that I didn't get to go hunting this year. My sister goes to that pool and always wants us to go but we haven't made it yet, it looks really fun. And you girls are crazy to be out and about with all those children!!

Oh wow...eventful weekend! So sorry for Jason to hear about the kidney stone. My cousin says they are WAY, WAY worse than birthing a baby. She says she'll take labor anyday over kidney stones... And good for you & Jamie for adventuring out with all the kiddos. At least you were in Utah so you didn't get all that many 'looks' though, right? What a fun weekend...and at least Jason got his buck so the kidney stone wasn't quite as bad as it might have been. Kidney stone WITH buck is much better than kidney stone and NO buck, right?

Poor buck, and poor Jason too; maybe the kidney stone is bad kharma for killing the buck!? J/K :) I'm sorry for him being in pain. That pool looks AWESOME! I'm glad you had a fun time. I can't wait to get my hands on these watches that everyone's raving about.

Wow, that is awesome. Everybody up here is like gone the entire week going hunting. It is kind of cool to hear everybodys storys. That sucks. I hope Jason is better.

What was the water parks name. When we went down for baptism for the dead we went to a water park. Was it like a receational center in Washington.
